NPP Exposes Ejisumanhene over insults on MP Showcases his achievements
The Ejisu constituency executives of the NPP have jumped to the defense of the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways,Hon.Kwabena Owusu Aduomi after insults by Ejisumanhene,Nana Afrane Okesse IV.
Below is the full statement
Statement on the unsavory comments by the Ejisuhene, Nana Afrane Okesse
The full statement reads,
“Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen of the press. We have invited you this afternoon to express our disapproval of the unprintable words used in scorning our sitting MP, Hon. Kwabena Owusu Aduomi by the Omanhene of the Ejisu traditional area in a video which has since gone viral on social media.
Nana Afrane Okesse is seen in the said video raining insults on our MP and is also heard ridiculing the noble profession of our MP, civil engineering.
We would have ordinarily let go if such comments had been passed by any other individual other than the Omanhene of the Ejisu traditional area – it is unpardonable.
We wish to condemn in no uncertain terms, such an indecent and unspeakable conduct by a traditional ruler who is supposed to know better.
We also wish to add that Hon Kwabena Owusu Aduomi who has been our MP for three (3) consecutive terms has satisfactorily served us well and for which reason deserves not such scorn.
Hon Kwabena Owusu Aduomi has been a solid pillar of our party in the Ejisu Constituency and a force to be reckoned with. This explains the more than proportionate increase in the electoral fortunes of the NPP in the Ejisu Constituency since his election as our MP.
He has to his credit several monumental achievements in the areas of development in road infrastructure, health infrastructure, educational infrastructure, support for business and human development, water and sanitation, market infrastructure among several others. He has been an asset to the Ejisu Constituency, the NPP government and the entire country – a fact nobody can dispute
It is also a common knowledge that apart from the Ejisuhene who for unknown reasons despises our MP, all the chiefs in the remaining 44 communities in the Ejisu Constituency have expressed appreciation for the various developmental projects seen and felt all over the Ejisu Constituency.
Our sitting MP has indeed paid his dues – raised the bar.
He has phenomenally delivered on his mandate. As a deputy minister of roads and highways, the Ejisu Constituency has seen an unprecedented and massive development in road infrastructure.
The least we had expected to see Nana Afrane Okesse do was to show appreciation for the efforts of Hon. Aduomi to give Ejisuman an enviable facelift and not such a shameful ingratitude.
A chief is supposed to be a unifier and not otherwise. A word from a chief is supposed to inspire calmness and a culture that is worthy of emulation.
We are by this address admonishing the Omanhene of the Ejisu traditional area to retract the unsavory comments and unreservedly apologize for same.
Attached is a list of the developmental projects undertaken by Hon. Kwabena Owusu Aduomi in the constituency.
Thank you.
