Prof. Baffour Agyeman-Duah


A former university professor, he co-founded the Ghana Center for Democratic Development in 1998 and worked as United Nations Senior Governance Adviser in Tanzania (2005-2008) and UN Senior Special Adviser at the United Nations Mission in Liberia (2008-2013).

He studied at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana; Ohio University and University of Denver in the USA and taught in North Carolina and served two years as Fulbright Professor at the Legon Center for International Affairs, University of Ghana. My book publications include Ghana: Governance in the Fourth Republic (2008) and My Ghanaian Odyssey (2012).

He served as Elections Consultant for the National Democratic Institute of USA in Liberia (1997) and Sierra Leone and for the Commonwealth in Zimbabwe (2001) and Cameroon (2004). I have made numerous appearances on Ghana’s Radio and Television, Voice of American and BBC to comment on Governance and Democracy in Africa.
